March 4, 1979: The first service of St. Andrews was held in Moss Bluff Recreation Center. It was conducted by Father Ralph Masters and Roland Sherwood.
October 1979 - September 10, 1983: Parishioners rented and remodeled an old Laundromat on Old Route 171 to use as a sanctuary.
February1982: Diocesan Convention, under Bishop Willis R. Henton voted to establish St. Andrew's as a mission church.
Summer 1983 - July 13, 1986: Father Lee B. Kneipp served as Vicar. |

September 10, 1983: St. Andrews moved into its permanent building.
December 1985: Average attendance at St. Andrew's stood at 70 people per week.
December 1986 - June 1, 1988: Father Jim McConnell served as Vicar.
March 1990: After 16 months without a priest, attendance declined, and St. Andrew's couldn't afford to pay a priest. Good Shepherd helped by hiring Jim Smalley and sending one of its four priests to St. Andrew's each week.
1989 - September 2005: St. Andrew's became home to the Moss Bluff Senior Nutrition Center, which serves local senior citizens. It moved from St. Andrew's when its building was severely damaged by Hurricane Rita. |

May 1990 - July 1991: Father Nicholas Abraham served as an interim priest.
November 30, 1991: On St. Andrew's Day, Roland Serwood, a founding parishioner of St. Andrew's who left for Seabury Western Seminary in Evanston, IL, returned and was ordained at St. Andrew's by Bishop Robert Hargrove.
July 7, 1991 - 1992: Roland Sherwood served as Vicar.
1992: A nursing home ministry began under Roland Sherwood. |

July 1995 - March 1996: Father Eugene Kohlbecker served as Vicar
March 1996 - latter 1998: Father Jim Reed served as Vicar
February 1999 - present: Mitzi George serves as Vicar. She improved involvement in the Senior Nutrition Center until 2005.
March 1999: St. Andrew's celebrated its 20th Anniversary
2005: The church building was remodeled to include an entry hall.
